Owen is in surgery now.
We're hanging out in the cafeteria with
my parents, Eric's parents, Pastor John and Eric's uncle Wayne. Evie's
soaking up the attention.
Owen did great. Was happy to play while we waited.
Versed did its job. He was so loopy.
they had me put a catheter in to stay in since it is such a long procedure.
He did so great. Took his new stuffed Thomas back with him. (Thanks Millers!)
Good
news: They say he "shouldn't" be on a vent when he comes out. I am
soooo relieved! As I was worried what it would be like to see him like
that. So when he's awake they'll let us go back to recovery to see him.
Also,
Boaz says we might be able to go straight to the floor and not have to
stay in the PICU. There are lots of sick kids in there and the hospital
is pretty full, so he thinks it might be best to just go straight to
the floor if he can.
Well, I'll update more when I know.
Felt
incredible peace yesterday and today. A little anxious last night
getting everything set and packed. But today, mostly feeling relief
that things are underway.

ReplyDeleteOwen's buddy Noah is thinking about him and praying for him. We had a little talk in the car this morning on the way back from physical therapy.
"Is he going to be in the hospital for a ling time?"
Me: "6 days."
Noah, "Is that a long time?"
Me: "One day more than your stay in the hospital. Do you think he's going to have to lie still and watch cartoons for a few days?"
Noah: "Yeah. Can we go see him? Is he at the hospital right now?"
Me: "He is at the hospital right now but we can't go see him cause he's at a different hospital far away."
Noah: "oh."
We are thinking about you Jen and the whole Potter clan and praying the surgery goes wonderfully.
-Your friends Julie and Noah :)
